One year later, Henry Schein has disclosed a databreach from that was claimed by by BlackCat Randsomware gang.
BlackCat (ALPHV) claming they’ve aquired 35TB of sensitive data.
In this breach more than 160000 people got their personal information stolen.
Major Windows Kernel vulnearbility uncovered by researchers
Alon Leviev shared recently a research project called Windows Downdate.
In it he was able to develop a tool that can take over the Windows Update process and effectively craft custom downgrades that can affect critical OS components, basically exposing previously fixed vulnerability.
One example is leveraging CVE-2024-21302, a privilege escalation vulnerability that was patch because it crossed a security boundary.

This attack has resulted in unauthorised access to some of the personal data associated with your subscriber account: surname, first name, email and postal addresses, date and place of birth, telephone number, subscriber ID and contractual data (type of offer taken out, date of subscription, whether subscription is active or not)
The number of affected users is unknown.
